Yale School of Medicine’s (YSM) six Advisory Houses were officially named on October 28, 2024, after an inclusive 17-month process. All YSM MD, MD-PhD, and Physician Associate students are members of one of the houses, which were created in the summer of 2023 to fulfill the YSM Strategic Plan for Medical Education’s charge to “provide an inclusive and well-supported learning community.” Each house also has a head of advisory house, longitudinal coaches, and faculty, fellow, resident, and alumni affiliates.

Below are the final names of the YSM Advisory Houses, as well as the house colors, which have been associated with each house for the past year. Each name is linked to a short biography of the individual for whom the house is named.
