Overview
Ami Belmont, MD, MHS, is an allergy and immunology specialist, focusing on diagnosing and treating people who have allergic and immunologic conditions, such as allergic rhinitis, IgE-mediated food allergy, chronic urticaria and angioedema, and common variable immunodeficiency. She is also the clinical director for the Penicillin Allergy Evaluation in Pregnancy Program.
As an assistant professor at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Belmont conducts drug allergy health services research, including research on drug allergy epidemiology and antibiotic allergy delabeling. Her clinical and research focus is on immediate drug allergy, especially antibiotic allergy label evaluations.
Dr. Belmont received her medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics, as well as her fellowship in allergy and immunology, at Yale School of Medicine.
