Research Areas
Faculty in the HGS track are investigating a broad range of topics in the areas of human genetics and genomics (see research areas listed above). These include fundamental aspects of genome biology, population genetics and human evolution, as well as more applied questions about human disease genetics and genome-guided precision medicine. A common thread is a focus on genome variation and its functional effects on human biology. There is also a strong focus on methodology, since advances in genome technology and computational methods continue to be the primary drivers of innovation in the field.
