Research Areas
The 51 faculty members currently affiliated with the Track include faculty from the Department of Microbial Pathogenesis, Microbial Science Institute, and other departments in School of Medicine, School of Public Health, and Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Advanced and specialized facilities (for the bio-containment of infectious agents, rearing and studying insect vectors, and high-resolution imaging (from molecular, single cell, to whole organism levels)), infrastructure for translational research, and extensive intramural and extramural collaborations support our vibrant and multidisciplinary training program.
Lab Resources
Faculty members occupy space on Science Hill, the School of Medicine, and West Campus. Facilities have the latest instruments necessary for research in modern microbiology. Special laboratory facilities for the bio-containment of infectious agents and for rearing and studying insect vectors are also available
