Orthopaedic Trauma
We employ computer simulations, biomechanics, and synthetic anatomy testing to determine the fidelity of orthopaedic techniques and constructs. Areas of research interest include fracture, open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) techniques, external fixation techniques, soft tissue trauma, bracing, and post-traumatic arthritis. Previous studies have included comparing different fixation methods in sustentaculum fractures of the talus, accuracy of 3D printed drill guides for femoral neck implants, and the influence of intramedullary nail and lateral locking plate characteristics on fracture site strain and prediction of future fracture.
