Biography
Snimarjot Kaur is a resident physician in the Department of Pediatrics. Her interests include clinical pediatrics, medical education, and simulation-based and quality improvement research.
She has worked as a postdoctoral research associate with the Department of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Her academic work involved simulation-based research to measure and improve the quality of pediatric emergency care across the United States. She has previously trained as a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital as well. At the MGH Pediatric Endocrine Research lab, her projects focused on the consequences of obesity in adolescents including bone health and reproductive health, and on bone health outcomes in male athletes.
Dr. Kaur received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. During medical school, she worked on developing a pediatric oncology regimen-dose calculator, ‘Oncolator’. She has served in multiple leadership positions, including the Associate Director for Public Relations at FuturePedsRes and the Vice Chairperson for the Asian Medical Students Association (AMSA, India). Being a trained Kathak and Bhangra dancer, you can always find her dancing to the music in her head. She loves spending her weekends cooking, baking, and exploring new corners of the city.
