    Biography

    Seth is the Data Services Project Manager for Yale School of Medicine - Yale Biomedical Informatics & Computing and works in the Research Informatics Office. In his current role he evaluates research needs for the School of Medicine, leads the creation of workflows & SOPs, and leads projects helping researchers acquire the data they need to complete and continue their research projects.

    Previously Seth was the Global Manager of Data Management for Unilever. He set the data strategy and policy for all clinical data management and implemented many systems to increase efficiency in data collection, storage, and analysis.

    Seth started his career at Yale and has held a number of positions. He was a Business Systems Analyst for Yale School of Medicine - Finance & Administration. Working to evaluate business needs of the School of Medicine and determining whether existing systems are in place that can be leveraged for the School's needs or if new systems need to be purchased or developed. He was a Clinical Research Analyst II at the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI), and a member of the Joint Data Analytics Team (JDAT) and the Advanced Analytics Team, where he worked on many projects to expand Yale's use of OnCore. He worked directly with Principal Investigators at the School of Medicine to identify study-specific needs so he could accurately and effectively support their research while maintaining all standards of Good Clinical Practice. He mentored and trained new staff, and study teams who were going to be using the OnCore System. This included hands-on training sessions, seminars, web-conferences, presentations, video recordings, and the creation of end-user documentation. Additionally, he facilitated relationships that benefited the institution as a whole. He constantly worked with vendors to expand Yale's reporting abilities and to combine data from outside sources.

    Seth is also a Filemaker Developer, and has consulted for multiple groups at Yale including, ENT Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and the Cardiovascular Research Group. Many of the databases Seth built are still in use today, with an up-time of greater than 10 years.

    Finally, Seth volunteers his expertise as a Biostatistics & Data Capture Consultant for Health Bridges International a non-profit organization that facilitates sustainable improvements in health of undeserved communities, mainly in Peru, through advocacy, collaboration, and service.

    Seth is a skilled programmer with SQL, Python, R, Unix, VBA, and HTML skills.
