    Biography

    Dr Chan obtained his medical degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He completed his fellowship training in internal medicine and neurology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Hong Kong. Before joining the Yale School of Medicine, he served as a research fellow for NeuroHIV projects conducted in Bangkok, Thailand. He completed his PhD in neurological impacts of acute HIV infection at the University of Amsterdam in 2021. Between 2018 and 2022, he also worked with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on neurodegenerative disease research projects.
