    Biography

    Dr. Nanthiya Sujijantarat ("Dr. Nan") is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in the treatment of cerebrovascular disorders. She completed her neurosurgery residency at Yale–New Haven Hospital, including a two-year enfolded neuroendovascular fellowship, followed by a post-graduate neuroendovascular fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Her clinical expertise encompasses ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVM) and dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVF) of the brain and spine, head and neck embolization, tumor embolization, middle meningeal artery (MMA) embolization for subdural hematomas, and carotid stenosis management through carotid endarterectomy (CEA), stenting, and transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR).

    Dr. Nan is actively engaged in research and education. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on intracranial aneurysms, subdural hematomas, carotid stenosis, and traumatic cerebrovascular injuries, among other topics. She has delivered invited lectures nationally and internationally and reviewed for several academic journals. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for media at the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery (JNIS), the leading journal in the field of neurointervention.

    Outside of medicine, Dr. Nan is passionate about animal welfare and serves as the president of the Sujijantarat Animal Sanctuary (SAS) which provides care for over 300 rescued animals in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

    Nanthiya Sujijantarat, MD, is a neurosurgeon who specializes in treating blood vessel problems in the brain and spine using minimally invasive procedures.
