Biography
Marley Herard, MA is a Postgraduate Research Associate in the Family Violence Research Program in the Sullivan Lab. Prior to her work with the Sullivan Lab, she attended Providence College where she collaborated on projects centered on sexism in the workplace and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Community Psychology Research and Evaluation from the University of New Haven. In her graduate program, she worked alongside Dr. Lillie Macias and Esperanza United, a culturally specific gender-based violence organization, to further support their mission to end gender-based violence in Latin@ communities. Ms. Herard's research interests remain centered on factors affecting women who experience intimate partner violence (IPV), and more specifically on the interplay between media consumption and experiences of IPV.
