    Overview

Kathryn Zuchowski, MD, is a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders. She focuses on caring for patients with conditions such as Parkinson's disease, tremor, dystonia, Huntington's disease, tics, and functional movement disorders. She offers treatments such as botulinum toxin injections for issues including muscle spasticity, dystonia, and facial spasms.

As an assistant professor of neurology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Zuchowski is involved in medical education, working to innovate curriculum and mentor future neurologists. Her research interests include developing educational tools that bridge specialties, such as her online resource for psychiatrists learning about movement disorders.

“I chose movement disorders because it is an area of neurology where we get the opportunity to establish longterm relationships with our patients and can provide treatments that directly improve their quality of life,” she says.

Dr. Zuchowski received her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed her residency and fellowship in movement disorders at Yale New Haven Hospital. She serves as the associate director of the Movement Disorders Fellowship at Yale, reflecting her dedication to training and mentoring the next generation of neurologists.
