    Overview

John Chang, MD, is a nephrologist specializing in conditions that disrupt involuntary bodily processes, such as pure autonomic failure, autonomic dysreflexia, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). He also performs innovative treatments like fecal transplants and bacteriotherapy to manage fecal incontinence issues.

Dr. Chang’s research interests include cardiovascular health and vascular aging, blood pressure and hypertension, sleep quality in hospitalized patients, and genetic factors in health outcomes. His work examines the correlation between specific proteins and genes with blood pressure fluctuations, hypertension, and salt sensitivity.
