    Biography

    Dr. Geer is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, graduating with honors. She received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and a masters degree in health sciences from the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Geer completed her Internal Medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and subsequently served as a Chief Resident. She remained at Yale for fellowships in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.

    As a member of the PCCSM faculty, Dr. Geer attends in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and sees patients in the Yale Centers for Sleep Medicine. Dr. Geer's clinical interests include caring for the critically ill, diagnosis and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing, narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia, circadian disorders, and chronic insomnia. In addition to her clinical contributions, Dr. Geer also has a strong track-record of interdisciplinary scholarly work within the domain of sleep apnea and stroke.

    Jacqueline Geer, MD, is a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine specialist who cares for critically ill patients and helps people with sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, and insomnia.

    As an assistant professor of medicine (pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine) at Yale School of Medicine, she pursues research on how sleep apnea and other breathing disorders affect stroke recovery and neurological outcomes.
