Jacob Peterson

Jacob Peterson was born and raised Connecticut where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Materials Science Engineering at the University of Connecticut.

He was commissioned in the Naval Reserves in 2012 on a Health Professions Scholarship and continued his studies at the University of Connecticut, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2016. Upon graduation he transitioned to active duty and reported to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) in Virginia to complete his internship in internal medicine in 2017. Following a two year general medical officer tour, he completed his residency at NMCP in 2021 and served as Chief of Residents for one year. He concluded his naval service in July 2023 and joined Yale PCCSM as a clinical fellow.
