Chinye Ijeli
About
Biography
Chinye is a medical student at Yale School of Medicine. Her research and career interests include health equity and the politics and policy of healthcare reform. Through her participation with the Student National Medical Association, the Yale Medical Student Council, and Yale's US Health Justice Collaborative, she is an advocate for students from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine.
Before medical school, Chinye worked as clinical research coordinator in the Department of Cardiology at University of California San Francisco, where she helped develop phone apps that track health data. Before that, while she was an undergraduate at the University of Chicago, she interned for the Region 5 Director of US Health & Human Services, an Obama appointee.
