Yale Psychiatry Residents' Association Elects New Leadership for 2024-25 Year

The Yale Psychiatry Residents' Association (PRA) has elected new officers and committee representatives for the 2024-25 academic year.

Henry Kietzman, MD, PhD, and Alyssa Nielsen, MD, both second-year residents, have been selected as the new co-presidents of the association, which serves as a liaison between residents and faculty and helps to cultivate an educational and fun working environment for trainees.

New officers were also chosen for several committees within the PRA.

The newest Graduate Medical Education Committee representatives are first-year resident Harun Khan, second-year resident Jada McMahon, third-year resident Talia Stewart, and fourth-year resident Diego Galán.

Alysha Rose, first-year resident; Julian Urrutia, second-year resident; and Alana Slavin, third-year resident will serve on the Graduate Education Committee. A fourth-year resident representative will be named.

Nielsen and resident Amy Cheung will serve on the Medical Student Education Committee.

The Wine and Cheese Committee now includes residents Sanam Bhatia, Tia Kozar, and Hui Yang. Orientation Committee representatives are Shanté Jackson-Barnes, Ariyaneh Nikbin, Abiba Salahou, and Stewart.

Bhatia, Nikbin, and Salahou have been named to the Social Committee.
