Laine Taylor D.O., MBA an Alumna of the Yale Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training program graduated as Chief Resident representing the Solnit South track in 2011. While Laine was in Medical School she obtained an MBA with a focus in Mental Health Care Leadership within a dual degree program. This led to an internship in Healthcare Policy where she was able to work on Healthcare legislation in the state of Missouri such as Malpractice insurance reform, Tort Reform and Stem Cell Research. Following the completion of her training Laine began to work with the Outpatient Clinic in Hollywood, Florida where she worked until enthusiastically taking a position with Yale in July of 2013, as the Associate Medical Director of the Child Psychiatry Inpatient Unit.

In her current role she has both clinical and non-clinical duties. Some of her clinical work includes inpatient attending supervision of Medical Students, General Psychiatry Residents, and Yale Child Study Center Psychiatry and Psychology Fellows and the treatment of Children and Adolescents who present with acute behavioral health concerns. In addition to her Clinical duties she is a member of the Connecticut Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CCCAP) and has been appointed the Legislative Liaison where she is currently working in collaboration with Child Study staff and fellows on a telemedicine Bill. Laine was also an intricate part of the planning and preparation of the ACCESS Mental Health project request that is currently under review.

When Laine was asked about her experience with Yale thus far her response was: “This is my dream job. While I was training here I always thought my ideal position would be working with students and residents in an institution of excellence such as Yale. In addition to all of the opportunities that I am afforded in my short time of being here I am fortunate enough to work alongside and learn from the top clinicians in the field”.
