Ten Yale Department of Psychiatry faculty and trainees have contributed to the book, AAAP Review of Addiction Psychiatry: Clinical Practice and Board Preparation.
The book, co-edited by Carla Marienfeld, MD, a graduate of the Yale Psychiatry Residency Program, is a resource for medical students, residents, fellows, and general psychiatrists who want an overview of addiction psychiatry for board exam preparation or daily clinical practice.
It covers key areas around addiction services and treatments; addiction laboratory medicine; co-occurring medical and psychiatric diagnoses; addiction evaluation, diagnosis, and psychosocial treatments; addiction epidemiology, genetics, and neurobiology; addiction prevention, public health, and public policy; and legal and ethical considerations.
