Pediatrics Component of the WCH Clerkship

Medical Management of Gender Dysphoria:

In this 1-hour small-group didactic session, students in the Pediatrics clerkship learn fundamentals of medical management of gender-affirming therapy. The session is taught by clinicians from the Yale Pediatric Gender Program, and session topics include review of respectful terminology and overview of medical management of gender dysphoria in children and adolescents.

Emergency Medicine Component of the SAP Clerkship

Panel on Interacting with LGBTQI+ Patients:

In this one-hour panel discussion, LGBTQI+ community members from the greater New Haven area share their experiences accessing the healthcare system. After the panelists share their perspectives on best practices for interacting with LGBTQI+ patients, students are invited to ask questions of the panelists.
