Overview
Douglas Silin, MD, is an interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive procedures. By using advanced medical imaging and state-of-the-art equipment, complex procedures are performed often without an incision, which minimizes post-procedural discomfort.
His says the most rewarding part of his job is helping patients through difficult times and relieving them of pain.
“I tell them, ‘We are a team and we are here to help you,’” Dr. Silin says.
His research focuses on artificial intelligence, neoplasms (abnormal growth of cells), and image-guided biopsies.
Dr. Silin is an associate professor of radiology and biomedical imaging at Yale School of Medicine.
