Yale Health Plan
Yale University Health Services (YUHS) administers the Yale Health Plan. YUHS is independent from Yale-New Haven Hospital. Studies performed at the Yale Health Plan are read by a dedicated Health Plan radiologist who is a member of Yale Diagnostic Radiology. Yale Health Plan imaging studies can be accessed at YNHH; however, currently Radiology (and a few others) are the only people who have access to the imaging.
Yale Health imaging examinations can be viewed from the reading workstations in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, including those in the ED radiology suite. These images are not accessible from desktop computers in the ED. Access is given to the radiologists; your personal Synapse login may not include such access.
Questions about Yale Health studies can be directed to the Yale Health radiologist 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and to the YNHH ED radiologist at other times. The Yale Health front desk is 203-432-0340.
Note that patients who have never had any radiology studies at YNHH still can have their images viewed at YNHH; these are in a dedicated "YUHS" folder in Synapse in the top level directory.
