Origins of the Fellowship

Radiology is a field with tremendous opportunities for entrepreneurship, operational excellence, quality improvement, strategic vision and leadership. Medical school, residency, fellowship and continuing medical education provide scant opportunities for rich leadership education. Understanding that there is a gap in this type of leadership education was the impetus behind beginning the MBA for executives program.

Yale is relatively unique among its peers in having a single campus, closely affiliated Medical and Management schools and well-respected healthcare management programs. For the past 12 years, we have had an MBA for Executives program which has already graduated 250 healthcare professionals as of 2017.

We relish the opportunity to provide our fellows with a broad array of opportunities that will allow them to take on leadership roles in clinical practice, academic health centers, life sciences companies or elsewhere: with the common theme of improving healthcare, access, and quality.
