    Biography

    Ed is a native of Syracuse, NY. He attended the University of Albany, majored in Physics and Russian, after which he received a commission in the United States Marine Corps. Ed served ten years as an officer in the Marine Corps, earning the rank of Major. After the Marine Corps, he was fortunate to attend the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. At Einstein he earned his MD and PhD degrees under the supervision of Steven D. Schwartz PhD in collaboration with the laboratory of Jil Tardiff MD-PhD. He completed his internship and residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania followed by a clinical and research fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He cares for Veterans at the West Haven VA. His research focuses on the remodeling of the cardiopulmonary system, emphasizing the interactions of the heart, pulmonary artir, and lungs.

    Overview

    Edward Manning, MD, PhD, is a specialist in pulmonary and critical care medicine who treats people with lung diseases and breathing challenges.
