The Yale Pediatric Diversity Council
Mission
The Yale Pediatric Diversity Council is an organization comprised of a group of residents, with the support of the Vice Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as well as the pediatric department, who seek to promote diversity and inclusivity within the pediatrics residency and the wider Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. Our goal is to create a housestaff that better reflects our patient population, to support housestaff through their residency journey and to ally with the local community to motivate and encourage the next generation of healthcare providers.

- Diversity recruitment dinners
- Meet ups with interested applicants participating in visiting electives
Community Outreach Initiatives:
- Collaborating with pillars within the community to organize events exposing kids to careers in healthcare
