2D gels and Pro-Q-diamond staining
Using a Differential 2-D gel electrophoresis (DIGE™) experiment, phosphoproteins can be located using the Invitrogen Pro-Q Diamond fluorescent stain. The workflow is outlined in the figure.

With this approach, phosphoproteins can be quantitated using the Cy3 channel for Pro-Q
Diamond phosphoprotein location, and Cy2 and Cy5 channels for determining protein
expression differences.
