The doors of the Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital opened for business in October 2008 and have been proudly providing comprehensive cancer services to the patients of the Valley community for last 4 years. The Center for Cancer Care offers community-based comprehensive cancer treatment to address each patient’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs in a supportive, healing environment.

Our highly trained physicians and staff deliver the finest in advanced cancer care using leading-edge technologies, all in a soothing setting designed to nurture and heal. It’s a different kind of cancer care - one that unites science and sensitivity.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes 4 Radiation Oncologists, 4 Radiation Therapists, 1 Radiation Oncology nurse, 1 full time dosimetrist, 1 part time physicist, a Patient Care Navigator, dedicated dietician and social worker and 2 support staff. The physicians and staff provide our patients with their medical oncology needs.
The Radiation Oncology services include 1Elekta Synergy linear accelerator, and a Siemens CT scanner. The facility offers IMRT, IGRT and VMAT technology. The various computerized treatment planning systems include the CMS XIO as well as the Monte Carlo systems. The department utilizes the Mosaiq Oncology Management System to allow for a fully electronic environment.

Tumor Board meetings occur 3 times a month and include a general tumor board as well as subspecialty areas

Other services provided at the center include complimentary valet parking, boutique, resource center, educational programs, genetic counseling, integrative medicine, physical therapy, spiritual support and survivorship services.

The center has a multi-disciplinary team that has achieved STAR certification as part of its Survivorship Services. The STAR program is an evidence based education program for rehab specific cancer survivorship services.

Our dedicated Patient Care Navigator accompanies our patients and families throughout the cancer journey- expediting care, answering questions, serving as a link to helpful resources and providing guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
