Participate in Our Parkinson’s Disease Research

Volunteers with Parkinson’s disease aged between 40-80 are needed to take part in groundbreaking brain imaging research.

Why are we conducting this research?

We are conducting research to help understand the causes of Parkinson’s disease and to help establish the next generation of brain imaging, which will be vital for monitoring progression and evaluating new treatments. We are also interested in the non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease such as depression, anxiety and sleep disturbance. The ultimate goal of our research is to inform new treatments that alleviate the symptoms and improve quality of life in those living with Parkinson’s disease.

What's involved?

First we need to see whether you are eligible to take part. Generally, this involves a short confidential phone call and an in-person visit to assess your symptoms and your medical health (including a brief medical exam).

If eligible to take part, you will be invited to return for an MRI scan and one or more PET scans. You will be reimbursed for your time ($300+ depending on how many PET scans).

Click on the ‘Take part’ link and we will contact you, call the Yale PET Center at 203-737-6128 or email us at petimaging@yale.edu
