About

Biography

Jon is a senior in Yale College majoring in Environmental Studies, with broad interests in climate change, ecology, and public health. Previously, he’s researched the effects of changing precipitation patterns on sagebrush steppes by using models to simulate community ecosystem dynamics. He’s currently working on his senior thesis, using allometric modeling to improve the estimation of sagebrush biomass. In addition to his lab work, he is interested in the links between urban planning and human health, climate resilience in arid areas, and the public health effects of agricultural and soil management practices. Outside of academics, Jon curls with the Yale Curling Club and arranges music for the Yale Precision Marching Band.
