NASW / CT Region 2 Meeting: "Behavioral Assessment in Bariatric Surgery"

NASW/CT REGION 2 MEETINGS

ONGOING SOCIAL WORK GATHERINGS

We are pleased to invite you to monthly, clinically focused group gatherings. Held the third Tuesday of each month, from 5 to 6:30 PM, the meetings will have a clinically focused presentation followed by group discussion, case presentations, and networking. Please come and share your challenging situations with the group. Students are welcome.

Our next meeting on February 19th, 2013 will feature a presentation on:

Behavioral Assessment in Bariatric Surgery: "Bariatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the causes, prevention, and treatment of obesity." (The American Heritage Dictionary) Obesity has reached epidemic proportions in our society and we as social workers can better serve our clients with greater knowledge of treatment options and how they impact the quality of our client’s lives.

Presented by Mark Gaynor,LCSW

In private practice for 30 years, serving Adults and Adolescents with mental health and addiction disorders; Mr. Gaynor has developed a specialty in the area of Bariatric Treatment. He brings a unique combination of personal and professional expertise in the field of health and weight management.

Approved for 1.5 CEC’s.

Free for NASW Members, $25 CEC fee for non-NASW members. Students welcome.

Sign Language Interpreter Is Available Upon Request.
