Biography
Dr Weiss practices both pulmonary and sleep medicine. She is medical director of the pediatric pulmonary function laboratory and oversees the pulmonary exercise testing program. She has published and lectured on exercise-induced asthma and sleep disorders in children. She has a strong interest in sleep in medical trainees.
Dr Weiss is also very involved in medical education and research. She is Vice Chair for Education in the department of Pediatrics. She is past president/chair of the Pediatric Pulmonary Training Directors Association and the Fellowship Directors Executive Committee of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors. She is editor of the American Academy of Pediatrics PREP Pulmonology. She is on the steering committee of the Subspecialty Pediatrics Investigators Network. She is involved in a number of national studies in fellowship education, including assessment using entrustable professional activities (EPAs) and financial resources.
