Message from the Chair
The Department of Pediatrics has long held the education of medical students, residents, fellows and faculty as one of its core missions. Here at Yale, we strive to provide state-of-the-art, broad-based clinical training in a scholarly environment to foster future leaders in pediatric research, clinical care, education, quality improvement and advocacy. We are committed to the maintenance of an educational environment that is exciting, challenging and innovative, and we are proud to attract outstanding candidates from around the world to our many training programs.

- The Yale Pediatric Residency Program is designed to combine intensive learning in patient care setting with supplemental, broad-based didactic experiences.
- Fellowship training at Yale provides you with superb clinical training, and the opportunity to develop into a top-notch physician, with expertise in clinical, basic or translational research.
- The pediatric component of the Women’s Children & Health clerkship is a 6 week experience in which you will spend 3 weeks focused on inpatient care and 3 weeks focused on specialty care. The specialty rotation takes place across different patient care settings, inpatient and outpatient.
- We offer a variety of opportunities for students interested in learning about pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics.
