Clinical Care

Overview

Kim Fletcher, MD, is a board-certified gynecologist who has advanced training in ultrasound, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, and the management of contraception and issues around menopause.

“I chose gynecology when, at the age of 15, I was told that my aunt died of uterine cancer that went undiagnosed for years because she was afraid to see a male gynecologist,” says Dr. Fletcher, who is also a cancer survivor herself. “I understand fear and isolation, and I will do my best to help my patients during their trying times.”

When she meets a new patient, Dr. Fletcher puts together a personalized plan of care, taking into consideration the age, education, family structure, socioeconomics, and most importantly, the fears patients have. “I try to reassure patients by explaining that even if I do not have the answer to a problem, I will persist until I find someone who does,” she says.
