During the 12-week clerkship, students are scheduled for inpatient and ambulatory clinical experiences in Yale Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences and Pediatrics. While on service at area private practices, Yale-New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital, students see firsthand how pre-conception and prenatal care experiences impact embryonic, fetal and neonatal growth & development.
By the end of the Ob/Gyn clinical component the student are expected to have a firm understanding of many important topics in Women's Health, in addition to displaying growth in areas of professionalism, patient care, and communication.

Throughout the program, students are given the opportunity to work with amazing mentors in their field, including those who have won awards such as the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award and the Lee Buxton Award.
