Program Director's Message
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Ob/Gyn Residency Program at Yale. You will find that our program offers exceptional training which is wide in breadth and depth. We are guided by our mission: to train a diverse group of obstetrician/gynecologists who are critical thinkers, compassionate providers, and skilled clinicians who will become leaders in women’s health.
At Yale, we are fortunate to have a broad variety of clinical settings: a high volume, high risk obstetrical service at the Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) York Street campus; an obstetrical service operating within the laborist model at the YNHH St. Raphael’s campus; subspecialist clinics in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gyn Oncology, Urogynecolgy, Family Planning and Reproductive Endocrinology; Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology; an outpatient continuity clinic within our Women’s Center; operative experience at YNHH, and Smilow Cancer Center.
Our residents have exposure to academic generalists, subspecialists, and a large group of community physicians, all who are dedicated to resident education and serve as teachers and mentors. In addition, our department includes some of the finest research faculty in the country who assist our residents in developing a diverse collection of research projects, from basic science research to public health policy.
As a Connecticut native, I hope you will also take advantage of living in New England and the greater New Haven community. Being part of the Yale community will afford you the opportunity to access countless cultural, athletic, and community activities. We are ideally located a short drive from the ski resorts of Vermont, the beaches of Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and the urban centers of New York and Boston.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions about our program.
