Letter from the Director

April 13, 2022

Spring is such an exciting time of the year, with so many beginnings and changes...and so much hope. As we wait for our new class of MD/PhD students to step forward and "commit to enroll" at Yale, we are pleased to share and celebrate the many successes of our current students. Congratulations to our 2022 graduates on their accomplishments - you have each made a mark on the program and I will continue to expect great things of you in your lives and careers.

The stories below highlight just a few of the exciting offerings and changes in the program - like everything else, it continues to grow and evolve. A special shout-out to Natalie Scarpelli, our new Registrar, who brings a ton of experience, a quick wit and great sense of humor to the job - please stop by the 3rd floor and say hello if you haven't yet! And kudos to our faculty, students and Associate Directors for their innovations and hard work, with particular thanks to Dr. Reiko Fitzsimonds, who is more than living up to her job description as our AD for Curricular Development and Assessment.

With best wishes,

Dr. K

Barbara Kazmierczak, M.D., Ph.D.
Gustavus and Louise Pfeiffer Research Foundation M.D.-Ph.D. Program Director
