Attila Feher, MD, PhD, an assistant professor at the Yale School of Medicine’s Section of Cardiovascular Medicine, has been selected for the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) Leadership Development Program.
The ASNC’s two-year mentorship program prepares future leaders of the society and the field of nuclear cardiology. Former Yale participants include Cesia Gallegos Kattan, MD, MHS, and John Stendahl, MD, PhD.
Feher’s research and clinical interests focus on molecular imaging and multimodality imaging techniques. He also has a special interest in preventing and managing heart disease in patients who have underlying autoimmune and rheumatologic disorders through Yale’s Cardio-Rheumatology Program.
Previously, Feher was selected for the 2022 ASNC Best Clinical Abstract Award and the Hal O'Brien Rising Star Award. He received his medical degree and PhD from the University of Debrecen and completed his internal medicine residency at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center prior to joining Yale’s Translational Research Imaging Center (Y-TRIC) as a post-doctoral fellow. His mentors are Albert Sinusas, MD, professor of medicine and director of Y-TRIC, and Edward J. Miller, MD, PhD, vice chief of cardiovascular medicine education and associate professor of medicine and radiology.
