    Biography

    Sara graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with honors in 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Environmental Studies. Following graduation, she worked as a research associate in the Laboratory of Developmental Neuroscience at Penn State University. At Penn State, she researched how puberty impacts emotion perception and neural network organization in relation to social experiences, and how a computer-based intervention can help improve social perception in autistic adolescents. Sara is a Sara S. Sparrow Fellow in Clinical Neuroscience in the McPartland Lab. She is particularly interested in how cognitive processes of autism and developmental disorders impact social communication and relationships in early life. In the future, Sara hopes to pursue a career as a Clinical Child Psychologist.
