Patrick Oh, MD

Dr. Patrick Oh is a radiation oncologist at Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital specializing in thoracic and genitourinary cancers, as well as hematologic, cutaneous, and metastatic malignancies. He emphasizes an individualized, holistic approach to patient care to optimize both disease outcomes and quality of life.

His clinical expertise includes advanced radiotherapy techniques such as stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT/VMAT), and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT). His research focuses on reducing radiation-induced toxicities, particularly cardiopulmonary effects, and expanding the role of radiation therapy across cancer types. He has presented his work nationally, published in peer-reviewed journals, and received the RSNA Roentgen Resident Research Award at the conclusion of his residency.

He is also dedicated to medical education, mentoring residents and medical students with an emphasis on communication skills and the delivery of patient-centered care.

Dr. Oh earned his undergraduate degree at Duke University and his medical degree at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island and his residency in radiation oncology at Yale New Haven Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident.
