Achievements

Member of the Leadership Committee. ACTION is a broad consortium of 46 national and international children's hospitals who have gathered to regularly discuss, share, and build broad consensus-based treatment practices and protocols for pediatric mechanical cardiac support.

Project Viva is a pre-birth cohort of 2,128 mother-child pairs based near Boston, MA and is part of the NIH ECHO program. It has collected information on numerous environmental exposures and health outcomes on the mother and child beginning in early pregnancy in 1999-2002, and the "children" are now young adults. The cohort is in the process of planning the next study visit, which will focus on the collection of data from the young adult participants who will be around 21 years old. My work with this group focuses on smartphone applications and wearables.

The International Society for Pediatric Innovation (iSPI) was formed to address the unmet need for an open global network focused on innovation leadership. iSPI provides a unique opportunity for pediatric leaders to be at the cutting edge of technological influence and creative energy. Through the exchange of ideas, data, knowledge, and experience, iSPI is uniquely armed with collective medical intelligence. iSPI shares the latest thought leadership and insights to empower hospitals and individuals to leverage emerging innovations.
