    Biography

    Dr. Anthony Enzo Seddio is an orthopaedic surgery resident at Yale New Haven Hospital. Originally from Southern California, he earned his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in biomechanics, graduating summa cum laude. Prior to medical school, he owned a personal training company and gym in Los Angeles, integrating his academic background with a hands-on dedication to enhancing his clients' quality of life.

    While earning his MD from Loyola University Chicago, he focused his research on novel strategies to optimize orthopaedic surgery outcomes. Dr. Seddio was the first to publish studies on the encouraging reduction of postoperative complications associated with the GLP-1 receptor agonist semaglutide (Ozempic®) in patients undergoing lumbar spine surgery, rotator cuff repair, total shoulder arthroplasty, and ankle fracture fixation.

    Dr. Seddio has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications, alongside more than 50 presentations at national and international conferences, including presentations in Madrid, Spain and Rome, Italy. His current academic interests center on refining care pathways to improve surgical outcomes and elevate patient satisfaction.
