2024 Awardees
Two Yale Department of Surgery faculty-led projects were among those selected for the Blavatnik Fund. Jason Sheltzer, PhD, assistant professor of surgery (oncology) and genetics, presented, "Expanding the Universe of Cancer Therapies by Targeting Aneuploidy." Prashanth Vallabhajosyula, MD, MS, associate professor of surgery (cardiac), also presented "Trexome: A Novel Non-Invasive Biomarker Platform for Heart Transplant Rejection Monitoring."
Supported by a grant from The Blavatnik Family Foundation, the Yale Life Sciences Pitchfest is an annual event that includes 5-minute pitches followed by a Q&A with a panel of judges, networking, and awards. Selected participants are invited to pitch their projects for additional Blavatnik funding.
