Research and Collaborations

FDA Approval for Digital Health: Over the last few years, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration has begun to focus on digital health as a way to improve health and care delivery. Digital health can refer to a wide variety of technologies, devices, and ways of delivering care, and the Yale Center for Digital Health and Innovation includes stakeholders at the forefront of each of these fields. The FDA has even created new categories of technology, for example "Software as a Medical Device." The first such approval was granted in 2017 for a mobile application designed to treat substance use disorders.

Clinical Trials: The Yale Center for Digital Health and Innovation is at the cutting edge of digital health research. Please check back in the coming months for more information about our clinical trials and other research projects.
