Tichianaa Armah, MD

Dr. Tichianaa Armah, a Bronx, NY native graduated from Swarthmore College. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry home of the Biopsychosocial model. While at Yale for psychiatry residency she served as co-president of the Yale Psychiatric Residents Association and Chief Resident of the Hispanic Clinic at the Connecticut Mental Health Center in New Haven Connecticut. She received the American Psychiatric Association Minority Fellowship and was the 2012 American Orthopsychiatry Vera Paster Award winner. Her primary interests are in community psychiatry, patient education, and cultural sensitivity reflected in her current work at the Hispanic Clinic at CMHC and as Medical Director for Behavorial Health at the Community Health Center Inc. a Patient Centered Medical Home.
