Postdoc Daryn David is awarded competitive AAAS Fellowship

Daryn David, PhD, a former NIMH Research Fellow in Functional Disability Interventions at the Yale Program for Recovery and Community Health, has been awarded a competitive Science & Technology Policy Fellowship through the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Dr. David will serve her fellowship year in the Office of the Director, Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. David's research has focused on developing supports and interventions to address the unique needs, strengths, and rights of mothers diagnosed with severe mental illnesses.

The AAAS fellowships provide the opportunity for accomplished scientists to participate in and contribute to the federal policymaking process while learning firsthand about the intersection of science and policy.

Dr. David received her PhD in Psychology at Yale in 2009. In 2010, she was the recipient of a Pearson Early Career Grant, administered by the American Psychological Foundation.
