    Biography

    David Grodberg, MD, MS is board certified in both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. He has extensive experience as both a clinician and a clinical researcher. He currently serves as an attending physician in the Developmental Disabilities Clinic at the Yale Child Study Center. Dr. Grodberg is the founder of MindNest Health, a digital health startup that has partnered with Yale Office of Cooperative Research to use technology to deliver evidence-based parent mediated interventions at scale. Before he returned to Yale as Medical Director of the Child Study Center Outpatient Clinic, Dr. Grodberg received grant funding through the faculty scholars program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he developed the Autism Mental Status Exam (AMSE), which is a brief and free diagnostic assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder. The AMSE has been translated into many languages and was featured on Medscape (http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/805223).

    Overview

    David Grodberg, MD, specializes in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. His clinical practice focuses on treating conditions, such as anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and oppositional defiant disorder. At the Yale Child Study Center, Dr. Grodberg provides therapy and counseling for patients dealing with death and dying, adjustment disorder, and social anxiety.

    Dr. Grodberg's research interests include autism spectrum disorder (ASD), parent training, child behavior, and diagnostic tools and assessment. His work explores methods for identifying and managing irritability, disruptive behavior, and social disability in children with ASD and ADHD. He also investigates gender differences in ASD assessments, measures sensory reactions in children with ASD, and simplifies diagnostic processes for early childhood.
