Inpatient Facility: Hospital Research Unit (HRU)

Located on the 10th floor of Yale New Haven Hospital, the YCCI Hospital Research Unit (HRU), is available to Yale Investigators for moderate to high-risk adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient studies.

The unit features a skilled nursing staff that places a premium on patient safety and is available to support investigators utilizing the Magnetic Resonance Research Center and the PET Center. The facility includes:

  • 2 bed/chair spaces for inpatient or outpatient studies, including ventilated rooms for smoking studies
  • Suite with 3 bed/chair spaces for outpatient studies
  • Bionutrition Unit
  • Core Laboratory Services
  • Office space for investigators and research staff
  • Conference room
  • Medication room
