Mindfulness Courses and Workshops

2020 "Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction" Training Series

Classes meet from 5:30-8:00 pm. The first class is extended by 30 minutes (to 8:30 pm) and the last by 1 hour (to 9:00 pm).

Session 1: Mondays, January 27 to March 16; Orientation: January 13; Retreat, March 8

Session 2: Thursdays, January 23 to March 12; Orientation: January 16; Retreat, February 29

Session 3: Thursdays, April 2 to May 28; Orientation: March 19; Retreat, May 17. There will be no class on April 16.

Session 4: Mondays, April 6 to June 1; Orientation: March 23; Retreat, May 16. There will be no class on May 25.

Admission: 8-week course; $460 non-Yale/$300 Yale

Course Description: Learn how mindfulness of the present moment can allow you to deal more effectively with life and its challenges. Appreciate the benefits of responding skillfully rather than reactively to stress. This course includes a mandatory 1.5 hour orientation followed by an eight-week course. The classes are 2.5 hours long except for the first and last. The first class is extended by half an hour and the last class by one hour. There is a full-day retreat on a Sunday from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm. You may contact the instructor at anne.dutton@yale.edu.
