Congratulations to Danielle Miyagishima, our MD-PhD student in Dr. Gunel's lab, for being 1 of 2 elected to the AANS (American Association of Neurological Surgeons) Young Neurosurgeons Committee! Miyagishima's current research focuses on using various new technologies to understand the molecular basis of meningioma tumorigenesis and microenvironment. She plans to train as a neurosurgeon and become a physician-scientist one day. We are so proud to have her representing Yale in this prestigious organization!
