Angela Kang-Giaimo, MD, MPH and Benjamin Cherry, MD, FACP, were recently appointed to new leadership roles within the Department of Internal Medicine.
Kang-Giaimo was named associate clerkship director. She will work alongside the Clerkship Director, Dana Dunne, MD, MHS, to run the inpatient Internal Medicine core clerkship. Kang-Giaimo completed her residency in the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine residency program, where she also served as a chief resident. She is currently an instructor in the Section of General Internal Medicine and academic hospitalist in the Program for Hospital Medicine.
Cherry, a graduate of Yale’s Traditional Internal Medicine residency program, will take the reins as subinternship director for the Department of Internal Medicine. He is an assistant professor in General Internal Medicine and an academic hospitalist based at VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven.
The respective positions begin on July 1, 2022.
