Explain how past substance-use epidemics contribute to current morbidity and mortality from substance use
Distinguish lessons from past substance-use epidemics that could inform policy today
Identify current trends in prescription opioid use, opioid-related morbidity and mortality, and access to treatment for substance use disorders
