Addiction Medicine Grand Rounds: Understanding and Addressing the Opioid Crisis - Lessons from the Past and Opportunities for the Future

The Yale Program in Addiction Medicine is pleased to welcome Molly Jeffrey, PhD, MPP, as speaker for Addiction Medicine Grand Rounds on September 26, 2023.

This session of Addiction Medicine Rounds will be held in a hybrid format in-person and online.

Title: Understanding and Addressing the Opioid Crisis - Lessons from the Past and Opportunities for the Future

Learning Objectives:

  1. Explain how past substance-use epidemics contribute to current morbidity and mortality from substance use
  2. Distinguish lessons from past substance-use epidemics that could inform policy today
  3. Identify current trends in prescription opioid use, opioid-related morbidity and mortality, and access to treatment for substance use disorders

Addiction Medicine Grand Rounds are CME accredited. Each session will be assigned 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
